The photo walls and personalized momentos were deeply impactful. After the disappointment of having to postpone and reschedule due to COVID, the excellence of the memorial helped us all forget that. We had planned on having a closed casket because mom had suffered so, but after seeing her we decided to leave it open. She looked beautiful and at peace. As we laid dad to rest this week, we cried a lot and we laughed a lot! It was and still is amazing to have seen the number of people dad impacted over his life, some of which he may have only came in contact with a few times, he left something with them that they will remember forever! From the waving flag above the casket, the real tomatoes & green peppers for the farmer's market part of the his life, it was perfect. He would have gotten a good laugh of him being on the "Financial Advisers" and would have loved the music. Like so many others I was amazed by the service provided by each and every O'Donnell employee. The service at the funeral home itself and the graveside service were wonderful. Distraught with grief, I left the Celebration of David's life feeling uplifted and knowing David would have loved the event. From the love of Minnesota, to the Cardinals, the family and the pups, his grilling and classic cars, the set up all over the room and playing on the walls were perfectly my David. Even the finer details meant everything to the family. If we, the family, could give them 10 out of 5 we would. We also received so many compliments on the service and coworkers said they felt like they knew him better. Your attention to detail was over the top! With the passing of a loved one it is always difficult to go through the visitation and services. Our loved one wanted hers to be a celebration and it truly was a celebration of her life! I have never experienced such a wonderful tribute. When we walked into the packed church for my grandfather's funeral, we were led in by the Bishop of Missouri and about 15 Priests and Deacons. It was so touching, and James O'Donnell Funeral Home went above and beyond by recreating an old time barber shop- all of the special touches they put in surprised even our family. He would've been so impressed, and I am so proud because he deserved every bit of it!

They have always been very helpful with the utmost respect and care for my loved ones as well as the surviving family. When my mother passed suddenly in 2013, I had no clue how to handle the arrangements. I knew exactly what she wanted so Jimmy walked me through the process and was very understanding.
